The last couple of weeks have been busy, but also so much fun! As a family, we went on a cruise to the Bahamas where we battled with Hurricane Nicole and got stuck out at sea for an extra day and a half. The whole trip we had rolling waves, but at least we got to stop in Nassau and then Freeport before taking a detour and heading towards Cuba. Once we finally got home on Friday night, our friend and past roommate Chris was waiting for us at the house. He’s riding his bicycle from Pittsburgh, PA to Key West, FL (and probably further up the gulf) and made a stop here to visit for a few days. It’s always a good time when funcle Chris is around; Mason got to do some fun experiments making rockets and things out of cardboard. Ryan and I celebrated our anniversary here at home with Mason and Chris in the hot tub. The gas company had come the same day to run the line so that we could finally heat it; it was a great present! And this morning we said farewell to Chris as he continued on his journey south. I’m ready for a nap!
